On
Your Tenth Anniversary,
Mom
& Dad
written
at the request of Lonni by Anna Mae Wittig
Your Ten
Year Anniversary,
Brings memories
of the past,
Some that linger
much too long,
And others leave
too fast.
It's not been easy
recently,
Your parents deaths
still hurt,
And then to top
the whole thing off,
You also, then,
lost "squirt".
But if it helps to
ease the pain,
I really do believe,
That God has a special
need for them,
Or they wouldn't
think to leave.
So remember them
by the good times,
The laughter, fun
and love,
And know that you
can be assured,
That they're with
God Above.
Ten Years.... through
strife and struggle too,
I knew I could always
count on you.
We had our bouts,
our doubts and fears,
But you hung in
there through the years.
When life seemed
more than I could bear,
You proved to me,
how much you care.
Our sights weren't
always eye to eye.
I made you mad,
you made me cry.
But when I really
needed you,
You proved each
time, your love was true.
If I forget to tell
you so,
I love you both,
I hope you know.
Ten Years ...
We made it through
those times,
And we're extremely
happy,
For you're not only
"Mom & Dad"
Now you're also
"Nanny & Pappy".
Your grandchildren
love you as much as I,
And I've finally
grown to see,
Just what you meant
when you wished that I'd
Have a child who
was "just like me"
But all kidding aside,
we want you to know,
That many more years
is our wish,
So raise the champagne,
here's a toast to you two,
And years of content
wedded-bliss!
